由中国林科院林研所和河南民权县林科所合作,历时八年的试验,选育出对泡桐丛枝病具有较高抗牲的泡桐优良无性系C_(161).其形态特征表现为,主干圆满,树皮淡灰色,树冠广圆锥形;与豫东一带的毛泡桐相比,树冠稀疏,下层枝粗且分枝角度大,上层枝条纤细,人工接干性能良好.通过自然鉴定结果表明,C_(161)无性繁殖后代的丛枝病发病率为零;自由授粉子代的发病率也是零;杂交子代中一些组合的发病率低于或同于兰考桐,一些组合至今仍未发病.而同时引进民权县的上百个无性系,其中包括在其它地区原认为是较抗病的无性系,几乎在三年之内全部发病,人工诱发鉴定结果表明,上述这些无性系无论是采用芽接还是枝接均诱发出丛枝病,而C_(161)无性系除个别出现丛枝,后又很快干枯外,大都没有发生丛枝病.这充分说明C_(161)具有高度免疫力.区域性试验也表明,C_(161)适应范围广,耐干旱、盐碱.适于北方较寒冷地区栽培.摘自《林业信息快报》1985年第24期
