人工挖孔扩底桩已在建筑工程基础中得到较为广泛的应用。实践证明,此类桩基从技术经济分析中看确有一定的优势,如工程造价合理,施工速度较快,施工机械简单等。人工挖孔桩施工方便、速度较快、不需要大型机械设备,挖孔桩要比木桩、混凝土打入桩震能力强,造价比冲锥冲孔、冲击锥冲孔、冲击钻机冲孔、回旋钻机钻孔、沉井基础节省。从而在公路、民用建筑中得到广泛应用。但挖孔桩井下作业条件差、环境恶劣、劳动强度大,安全和质量显得尤为重要。
