LHRHa treatment of prostate cancer effective, while there are many side effects, many of which are still not fully studied. The authors reviewed the impact of LHRHa on skeletal muscle by searching Medline literature. There are three main aspects of the impact: ① on the effects of androgen receptor (AR). Many studies have shown that androgen replacement therapy has a positive effect on skeletal muscle, can increase muscle mass, increase protein synthesis. Some studies suggest that AR up-regulation plays an important role in androgen’s positive effect on skeletal muscle.
