我所于1981年5月采用高标准营林措施,用大叶相思和雷林1号桉作混交树种,营造速生丰产薪炭试验林100亩。目的是了解大叶相思和雷林1号桉的种间关系和混交效益。摸索营造速生丰产薪炭林的途径。试验四年多来,进行多次的观察、调查,现将试验初步结果整理如下:一、基本情况试验地位于北纬23°18′,东径116°40′,属南亚热带季风气候带,气候温和,雨量充沛,热量丰富。年平均气温21.2℃,年雨量2,126.9毫米,日照1,922.8小时,空气相对湿度83%。海拔80米左右,地势较为平坦,土壤属花岗岩发育的厚土层薄腐殖质赤红壤,土壤肥力较差。林下植被主要有芒箕、桃金娘、鹧鸪草、鬼灯笼等。
