民族地区要加速经济社会的发展，实现各民族的共同繁荣，就必须依靠科技进步，提高各民族群众的科学文化素质，而实现这一切，关键是发展教育。贵州省毕节地区是一个典型的多民族杂散居的贫困山区，经济落后，交通不便，自然地理环境较差，民族教育发展滞后。近来年，虽然民族教育得到了很大发展，但很不平衡，不适应当前经济社会发展的需要。本文根据最近两年的调查情况，就当前全区民族教育存在的问题和民族教育发展的途径，作了分析。
To speed up the economic and social development and realize the common prosperity of all ethnic groups, ethnic regions must rely on scientific and technological progress and enhance the scientific and cultural qualities of all ethnic groups and masses. The key to achieving this is to develop education. Bijie Prefecture of Guizhou Province is a typical impoverished mountainous area with many ethnic groups. Its economy is backward, traffic is inconvenient, natural and geographical environment is poor, and national education lags behind. In recent years, despite the great development of ethnic education, it is unbalanced and does not meet the needs of the current economic and social development. Based on the investigation in the recent two years, this article analyzes the existing problems of ethnic education in the whole region and the ways of developing national education.
