Objective To investigate the histopathological changes of organ related to Macacamulatta infected by Plasmodium knowlesi. Methods Three monkeys infected with untreated malaria parasite were treated. Two monkeys infected with Plasmodium reactivated after receiving artesunate suppository and one infected with Plasmodium were treated with piperaquinephosphate Monkey died of necrosis of upper limbs. The relevant organs were sliced. RESULTS: Three of the untreated monkeys (1, 7 and 12) and 1 (No. 72) were treated with artesunate suppository but were soon excreted in the heart, liver, spleen, Lung, kidney, cerebellum, pancreas, parathyroid gland, pituitary gland and lymph nodes have serious diseases, including protozoan erythrocytes and malaria pigment gathered in the capillaries of these organs. One patient (131) who died of upper extremity necrosis after being cured with piperaquine showed atrophy and loss of islet cells, parathyroid and pituitary cells in addition to pigmentation or macrophage phagocytosis in multiple organs Other lesions. One case (n = 33) was treated with artesunate suppositories and the short-term protozoa turned negative. However, the revived monkeys were drenched with drugs. The findings of multiple organs were significantly different from those of untreated controls. Only liver Kupffer cells And brain stromal cells contain protozoa and malaria pigment, multiple organs were repaired. Conclusion This paper reports the histopathological changes of various organs after infection with Plasmodium knowlesi, especially the atrophy and disappearance of islet cells, parathyroid and pituitary cells and the dissolution of cardiomyocytes Not recorded.
