[Objective] To observe whether different management methods of insulin injections in outpatients with diabetes are safe and effective. [Methods] Eighty - six newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients were selected as outpatients in endocrinology clinic of our hospital. Patients were randomly divided into two groups. One group was managed by their own blood glucose monitor. The doctor adjusted insulin dose and injected insulin into observation group. Another set of management methods, the patient’s own blood glucose monitoring, the doctor gave the principle of insulin medication program, adjust their own insulin dose, their insulin injection as the control group. For different management methods for the treatment of diabetic patients, compliance time and incidence of hypoglycemia were compared. [Results] The treatment effect was similar between the two groups, and the control group reached a slightly longer time than the observation group, but there was no significant difference. The incidence of mild hypoglycemia in the control group was slightly higher than that in the observation group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups. [Conclusion] Both management methods are safe and effective.
