这册课本是在全日制十年制学校小学课本《数学》第七册(试用本)的基础上修订而成的.大多数教师认为试用本在第六册讲完了整数的基础上,紧接着就讲小数,注意了小数和整数的联系.既便于学生掌握小数的知识,又复习巩固了整数;并且注意了几何图形之间的联系和区别.但是,试用本的份量较重,几何知识过于集中,学生对计量知识掌握的不好,小数和复名数的相互改写错误较多,在“四则混合运算和应用题”中应用题的坡度大了一些.这些都有待进一步改进.
