近几年,并行工程在美国及西方许多国家十分盛行,它已成为当今工厂自动化方面的一个热点。许多公司先后报道了他们应用并行工程所取得的成果,这些成果已引起了人们极大地重视。美国国防部就曾指派防御分析研究所(IDA)对并行工程方法进行立项研究。研究结果表明,并行工程是企业在日益激烈的市场竞争中求生存、求发展、赢得竞争的一种有效方法,它可以提高产品质量、降低生产成本、缩短产品开发周期,因此IDA推荐国防部采用并行工程方法。目前,整个国防部承包环境都在向并行工程方向发展。
In recent years, parallel engineering is very popular in many countries in the United States and the West, and it has become a hot spot in today’s factory automation. Many companies have reported on the results they have achieved using parallel engineering, which has drawn great attention. The U.S. Department of Defense had assigned Defense Research Institute (IDA) to conduct a project study on concurrent engineering methods. The results show that concurrent engineering is an effective way for enterprises to survive, develop and win competition in the increasingly fierce market competition. It can improve product quality, reduce production cost and shorten product development cycle. Therefore, IDA recommends that the Ministry of National Defense adopt Parallel engineering methods. Currently, the entire Department of Defense contracting environment is moving toward parallel engineering.
