On the ground, the telescopes are the same size. On November 26, 1999, in Hawaii, scientists clearly saw the volcanic eruption that took place on Titan beyond 620 million kilometers. This is an exciting astronomical observation, knowing that the spot size of this volcanic eruption seen on earth is as small as the full stop at the end of this sentence, beyond 2 km. Although large telescopes should be able to observe small changes in distant celestial bodies, it is almost impossible to observe the above changes in telescopes under thick, especially less transparent, atmospheres.
