中壮年是人一生中的鼎盛时期,然而,盛极必衰。此期,各系统器官的生理功能逐渐减退,新陈代谢速度缓慢,免疫能力降低,对疾病的抵抗能力亦有所下降,伴有记忆力减退,或性功能减退,或消化功能减弱等现象。据测算3O岁以后,胃液等消化液的分泌量下降迅速,所含的消化酶亦相应减少;基础代谢率平均每年以0.5%的速度下降。因此这一时期合理供给营养,不仅对身体健康有益,也为老年期的延年益寿打好基础。
The prime of life is the heyday of a man’s life, however, flourishing. During this period, the physiological functions of various system organs gradually diminished, the metabolic rate was slow, the immune capacity was reduced, and the resistance to diseases was also reduced, accompanied by memory loss, or sexual dysfunction, or decreased digestive function and so on. It is estimated after 3O years of age, gastric juice and other digestive fluid secretion decreased rapidly, containing a corresponding decrease in digestive enzymes; basal metabolic rate average annual rate of 0.5% decline. Therefore, the reasonable supply of nutrition during this period not only benefits the health of the body but also lays the foundation for the longevity of the elderly.
