The 2015 list of the greatest emerging technologies was published by Bernard Meyerson, chief innovation officer of IBM and chair of the World Economic Forum’s Meta-Council on Emerging Technologies.

The annual list represents an effort to bring attention to the new technologies and to close the gaps in funding and regulation that often inhibit progress.

1. Fuel cell vehicles
