The relationship between the amount of drilled water and the drop in water level is generally considered to be linear, parabolic, exponential, and logarithmic (hereinafter referred to as “four types”). However, many actual pumping test data often cannot be summarized for this “four types”. Some people attributed those deviations from the “four types” as follows: 1 Changes in the conductivity of aquifers near well walls; 2 Changes in regional hydrostatic levels; 3 Changes in the effective thickness of aquifers. The author believes that as long as the pumping test data are correct, it is the limitations of the “four types” that cannot fully describe the relationship between the amount of water in the borehole and the depth of water level drop.
