Basic situation In May 1985, our office used the explosion control technology to dismantle an old water tower. The tower is located in a factory in Xuzhou City. The water tower is 24 meters high and 4.1 meters in inside diameter. The wall is 0.37 meters thick. The brickwork structure is in the lower part of the south. There is a door at 4° west. There is a simple bungalow 1.6 meters away from the north of the water tower, a new flower house 37 meters southwest, a big workshop 60 meters south and a freezer 35 meters southeast (Figure 1).
