Kong Yiji is the second vernacular novel written by Mr. Lu Xun on the eve of the May 4th Movement following “The Madman’s Diary” and is also the most satisfying novel of his own. Later, Mr. Lu Xun personally translated it into Japanese. Although Kong Yiji’s article is less than three thousand words, its complete structure, ingenious plots, profound thoughts, and refined language have always been praised by people. Reread this novel today. Once again, I was fascinated by its artistic charm and was shown the content of tragedy in a comedy atmosphere. I was impressed with the technique of “laughing” and writing the tears. The ancients said that with music, mourning, mourning is even more sad. Similarly, writing grief with joy also adds to sadness. The tragic content of the book “Kong Yiji” was unfolded and strengthened in the atmosphere of comedy. “Laugh” runs through the whole story of “Kong Yiji”. The author glued it to the miserable life of Kong Yiji so that Kong Yiji appeared in people’s laughter, performed in people’s laughter, and finally died in the people’s laughter.
