２０世纪中国女性文学的发展道路，是和２０世纪中国社会的发展和进步的道路相伴随的。从秋瑾开始，一代代女作家在时代召唤下，创作了丰富多采的中国女性文学，有力地推动了社会前进和妇女自身的解放。这条女性文学之路是曲折而广阔的。仅仅用横移过来的女权主义文学理论的尺度，是不能客观、全面地估量我国女性文学的实绩的。中国女性文学应容许不同风格、流派的繁荣发展，但应与猥琐、龌龊、阴暗、低俗绝缘 The development of Chinese women’s literature in the 20th century is accompanied by the development and progress of Chinese society in the 20th century.
