研究了不同演替阶段中四川大头茶 1龄叶、2龄叶和 1龄幼苗的水分含量时间动态 .发现在整个研究期间(1994年 4月至 1995年 3月 ) ,所有演替阶段中四川大头茶 1龄叶的含水量高于 2龄叶 .从 1994年 5月到 1995年3月 ,1龄幼苗的含水量比 1龄叶高 ,但在 1994年 4月却比 1龄叶低 .从 1994年 4月到 12月 ,叶和幼苗的含水量会逐渐降低 ,但 1龄叶在 1995年 3月由于气温回升和生理活动加强会升高其含水量 .演替阶段的差异对四川大头茶的水分含量动态有影响 ,2龄叶和 1龄幼苗在四川大头茶林中水分含量最高 ,在马尾松四川大头茶针阔混交林中次之 ,在常绿阔叶林中最低 ;而 1龄叶在马尾松四川大头茶针阔混交林中水分含量最高 ,在四川大头茶林中次之 ,在常绿阔叶林中最低 .
