用电泳法将碳纳米管分别淀积到图形的和平面的ITO(铟锡氧化物)电极上作为场发射阴极并比较性的研究了它们的场发射特性。实验结果显示,相对于平面的衬底电极,斑条的ITO电极能够有效的改善碳纳米管的场发射特性。通过电场的数值计算,场发射特性的改善起源于斑条的ITO电极自身的表面电场增强引起了碳纳米管表面电场的两级放大。采用图形化衬底电极去制备碳纳米管阴极是改善碳纳米管场发射特性的一个简单、有效途径。
Carbon nanotubes were electrophoretically deposited onto patterned and planar ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) electrodes, respectively, as field emission cathodes and comparatively investigated their field emission properties. The experimental results show that the ITO electrode of the strip can effectively improve the field emission characteristics of the carbon nanotubes relative to the planar substrate electrode. Through the numerical calculation of the electric field, the improvement of the field emission characteristics originated from the enhancement of the electric field of the surface of the ITO electrode of the strip by itself, resulting in two-stage amplification of the electric field on the surface of the carbon nanotube. The use of patterned substrate electrodes to prepare carbon nanotube cathodes is a simple and effective way to improve the field emission characteristics of carbon nanotubes.
