Petroleum and petrochemical enterprises should actively cope with the competitive environment “China Chemical Industry Newspaper” June 30, 2003 According to Li Shousheng, director of performance appraisal bureau under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, there are currently five major changes in the global strategy of multinational corporations: changes in business strategy to core competitiveness; Mergers and acquisitions restructuring; foreign economic and trade strategy to localization change; management to the flat and network change; business competition to strategic alliances. The economic environment has become more complicated and the degree of competition intensified, bringing far-reaching implications to China’s petroleum, petrochemical and chemical industries.
