分类讨论是一种重要的数学思想,在初中数学教学中也应该得到特别的重视.但根据笔者观察,很多教师教学中仅局限于进行多种题型的反复训练,却忽视了对分类意识的培养,使学生不断地大量解题,学到的只是记忆和模仿的技能,而在实际解决问题中仍然大量失分,究其原因不外乎两种,一是缺少分类讨论意识;二是分类讨论不够全面.笔者认为,将教学的重点转移到培养学生的分类意识上,才是解决这一问题的关键.
