华东师范大学第二附属中学在教学改革实验中,强调全面打好基础,注意学生能力的培养和智力的发展。为此,他们调整教学内容,明确课程要求,把中学的课程调整为三大类:第一类为工具课(包括语文、数学和外语),要保证课时,明确教学要求,实行严格的考试;第二类为知识课(包括政治、历史、地理、物理、化学和生物),适当精简课时(或合并为社会科学基础和自然科学基础两门课),不实行考试,只进行考查,前者注重社会实践,后者加强实验;第三类为技术课(包括音乐、美术、体育和劳动技术课),技术性较强,只考查学生是否掌握所学技术。
