The primary goal of the new curriculum standard for primary Chinese language states that: “In the process of learning Chinese, primary school students should be able to specify their specific meanings and express their own meanings according to the order of words, and to use common expressions to meet the needs of daily life.” That is to say in composition teaching, it is necessary to carry out comprehensive training of using words, condemning words, making sentences and seeking articles, and also developing students’ abilities of observation, imagination, memory and thinking. Composition teaching is the collaborative activity of teaching and learning for both composition of teachers and students. Essay teaching is very extensive and includes the declarative knowledge given to student essays, the procedural knowledge of essays and the strategic knowledge of essays, as well as the ability to train and develop students’ essay writing skills.
