冷轧扭钢筋是将低碳钢热轧圆盘条经专用冷轧扭机加工成具有连续螺旋状的钢筋。经试验研究及工程应用总结,认为该项工艺技术经济效益显著;加工简便,钢筋调直、冷轧、冷扭和切断可一次完成,减少弯钩等加工程序;提高钢筋强度,增加与混凝土的握裹力;节约用钢量30%~40%;受弯构件虽延性有所减弱,但仍有一定的安全
