There are many vanadium-titanium magnetite deposits in India, containing 24% ~ 14% TiO_2 and 2% V_2O_5. The chemical composition varies with the location of the deposit and the depth of burial. Although a series of laboratory tests have been conducted on the recovery of vanadium and titanium using the method of ammonia salt melting-leaching-precipitation, these deposits have not yet been developed so far and titanium or vanadium have not yet been recovered in any form. This article describes the beneficiation study using ores obtained from the Dolmar area of Kumar Dolby, Orissa. The result of segmented magnetic separation is encouraging. Flotation tests were also performed on the resulting ore samples, as well as the nonmagnetic fractions in the ore samples heated to 350 ° C. The experimental results show that the magnetic separation of a froth flotation can be selected and enriched in TiO 2; the same time, vanadium may also be a considerable degree of enrichment.
