到底是谁发明了折叠椅,恐怕已经不可考,但蕴含在折叠椅中的设计思想,却随处可见。其实,数学里也充满着这种思想和技术。比如,5+5+5+5+5+5+5+5+5,多个同数连加,书写起来就很麻烦,人们就创造了一种压缩的书写方式:5×9。你看,像不像折叠椅?那么,多个相同数连乘呢?5×5×5×5×5×5×5×5×5,压缩一下就是59。把蕴含在数学中的这些思想展现给学生看,让学生明白算理,他们就能自然悟出算法,且能举一反三,触类旁通。我自造了一个词儿,叫“理到法随”。
