How to deal with the traditional issue in modern architecture creation, in our country, has been exploring disputes since the early days of the founding of the country. Although 1955 criticized retroism, no unified conclusions have been formed in the subsequent creative thoughts and theories. This is the same as in Japan. In the mid-fifties, the Japanese construction industry started a big debate on how to deal with tradition in the creation of modern architecture, which is the so-called “tradition and modernity” debate. This controversy lasted for five years, and the breadth of society involved is unprecedented. However, this dispute ended quietly with no results. On the surface, it seems that it was overwhelmed by the upsurge of economic take-off in the 1960s. It was actually a debate that could not be unified.
