电影《傲慢与偏见》是根据简·奥斯汀同名小说改编,讲述的是乡绅班纳特家庭5个女儿的爱情故事,着重描述绅士淑女间的婚姻和爱情风波,展现了18世纪英国的乡土人情和乡镇生活。本文以1940年美国导演罗伯特·Z·伦纳德执导完成的和2005年英国导演乔·怀特拍摄的两个版本的《傲慢与偏见》为研究对象,横向对比英美两种不同国家背景下拍摄所展现出的文化差异。本文主要以故事场景的设置、餐桌文化、人物性格分析等方面为切入点,旨在透过影像化的《傲慢与偏见》的表象化可视特征,分析英美两国的文化差异。
