行车指挥自动化系统是以列车运行管理为核心的运营管理自动化系统。即借助于电子计算机进行列车跟踪、运行调整、进路控制、旅客响导、自动描绘实绩运行图以及对运营指标进行分析等等。日本新干线于1972年开通,首次采用集中控制型的行车指挥自动化系统,使铁路的行车指挥跨入了一个新的时代,而时隔十几年之后日本又推出了一种新型的行车指挥自动化系统——自律分散系统。
Traffic command automation system is based on train operation management as the core of the operation and management automation system.
