The aim of this study was to determine whether dental pulp cell migration is affected by dentin, pulp extracellular matrix (pECM), dentin extracellular matrix (dECM) and its degradation products. Chemotaxis Transwell experiments and agarose dot experiments showed that the dentin and pulp ECM components of primary dental pulp cells have a chemical attraction. The chemoattraction of dECM and pECM is enhanced in the environment of acid and enzyme degradation.
