The authors studied the relationship between lymphocyte metabolism and clinical processes in 21 patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) using a sensitive microcardiogram method. All patients had lymphadenopathy. The authors considered that the reduction in the tumor volume after treatment by more than 50% was considered as remission. The mean fever of each lymphocyte in peripheral blood of 10 normal individuals was 2.7±0.6 PW (1PW=10-12 W). Among the 21 patients with NHL, 10 were ineffective (including 7 deaths). The average caloric value of neonatal cells and peripheral blood lymphocytes was 5.5±3.3 PW/cell and 3.7±1.1 PW/cell, respectively.
