The Upper Pluton Formation in the Suleiman region of Pakistan is the central lithological segment of the well-known Siwalikrockseries that consists of a set of greyish, greyish gravel-bearing coarse-grained lithic sandstone, Rock debris sandstone and gray-yellow, brown-red siltstone and mudstone, showing a stable north-south distribution. Lithologically, sandstone has a quartz content of 38% -52%, feldspar of 11% -29% and cuttings of 27% -50%, characterized by low quartz content and high cuttings content. Judging by the rock color, organic matter content, sedimentary structure and particle size probability curve, the rock is formed in the alluvial environment of sandy, braided, high-flow, high-flow and high-load arid-semiarid climate. The provenance analysis shows that the source of the DOPPAN group is mainly derived from the eroded area of the orogenic belt, that is, from the Himalayas fold belt which has been in the uplifting stage.
