1 Introduction Three-dimensional seismic data for this region was acquired in the late 1980s and early 1990s using early 1980s vessels as a source combination and a 300-meter cable with 120 detectors. The intense water flow in the area and the older data acquisition system severely affected the quality of the 3D data and led to the phenomenon of amplitude banding on the parallel routes as originally handled
