电报洋员是晚清电报系统的重要成员,他们在完成电报的工程建设、设备检修、学生教育和章程拟定等工作任务的同时,亦基于自身的特殊身份参与了多项中外政治事务,从应用层面见证了近代中国电报技术的传承和电信工业体系的建立。本文以盛宣怀档案为核心史料,对晚清电报洋员进行了分析与研究,进而探讨了“中体西用”观在电报洋员任用过程中所产生的历史影响。 Telegraphs and foreigners are important members of the late Qing telegraph system. While completing their tasks of telegraphic engineering construction, equipment overhaul, student education and constitution drafting, they also participated in a number of domestic and foreign political affairs based on their special identities. In this paper, Sheng Xuanhuai archives as the core material, the late Qing Dynasty electrician forensic analysis and research, and then explored the “Western concept of Western ” view in the history of the appointment of electrician forensic influence.
