2012年6月15日,具有百年悠久历史的中国土木工程学会在北京召开第九次全国会员代表大会暨九届一次理事会。中国土木工程学会是跨行业、跨部门的全国学术性群众团体,其前身是由我国近代杰出的工程师詹天佑于1912年创建的中华工程师会。著名桥梁及结构工程专家茅以升、李国豪曾担任学会理事长。中国土木工程学会下属19个专业分会、近60个专业委员会,在31个省、直辖市、自治区设有地方学会组织。中国土木工程学会代表中国先后加入了国际桥梁及结构工程
