I. Purpose of Research The continuous promotion of the reform in physical education curriculum for basic education in China shows that the key to determining the success or failure of the reform in physical education curriculum is the grassroots PE teachers who lead the school physical education and determine the quality of physical education. This paper studies the status quo of the young PE teachers’ professional development in primary and secondary schools in Shanghai from 0 to 5 years of teaching, trying hard to grasp the professional quality structure of physical education teachers
