Delayed depolarization-induced triggering activity is one of the cellular mechanisms of arrhythmia. Triggered activity is due to increased myocardial [Ca2 +] i and make it oscillate. In this study, the standard microelectrode technique was used to observe the triggering activity of guinea pig papillary muscles after perfusion with potassium-free and sodium-containing tetraethylamine. The results show that the above solution can induce a more stable and reversible triggering activity. Verapamil (11 μmol / L) and dauricine (50 μm ol / L) all inhibited the triggering activity, but did not completely eliminate the potential oscillations. This triggering activity model helps to study the mechanism of action of antiarrhythmic drugs on cardiac electrical activity.
