长期以来,外语专业本科教育在课程设置与教学内容的安排上注重外语技能(读、写、听、说、译)的训练和外国文化知识的灌输,而相对忽略了研究能力的培养。高等学校外语专业教学指导委员会于1998年起草的《关于外语专业本科教育改革的若干意见》中特别指出“分析问题和独立提出见解能力的培养”是“长期困扰外语专业的难题”。因此,如何培养研究能力和提高综合素质,可以说是外语专业本科教育改革的关键之一。北京师范大学外语系日语专业通过改革课程结构在培养学生的研究能力和提高综合素质方面作了一些探索。本文将就此作一简要介绍,并作初步的探讨和评估,希望能为日语专业的教学改革提供一些可资借鉴的经验教训。
For a long time, undergraduate education in foreign languages focuses on the training of foreign language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking, translation) and instilling of foreign cultural knowledge in the arrangement of curriculums and teaching contents, while ignoring the cultivation of research capabilities. In its “Opinions on the Reform of Undergraduate Education for Foreign Language Majors” drafted by the Steering Committee of Foreign Language Teaching at Colleges and Universities in 1998, it pointed out in particular that “the analysis of problems and the cultivation of ability to provide independent opinions” are “problems that have plagued foreign language professions for a long time.” Therefore, how to cultivate the research ability and improve the overall quality can be said that the reform of undergraduate education in foreign languages is one of the key. The Japanese major of Department of Foreign Languages of Beijing Normal University made some explorations in cultivating students’ research ability and improving comprehensive quality by reforming the curriculum structure. This article will make a brief introduction to this and make a preliminary discussion and assessment, hoping to provide some lessons for the Japanese professional teaching reform.
