中国的造型艺术,往往追求一种精神美、意象美。这种追求不能不从中国自身的文化中去寻找。从中国文化的高、低两个层面上来看,高层面是先哲及理论家的著述中的思想,如孔子的礼乐不在“钟鼓玉帛”,老子的“大象无形”,庄子的“以天合天”、“凝神”等。低层面是民俗与宗教中体现出的观念,这一层面主要表现的是天地崇拜、万物有灵论。这种审美心理导致了中国雕塑艺术创作过程中象征性表意手法的运用,象征性并不是中国雕塑
China’s art, often seeking a spiritual beauty, the image of the United States. This pursuit can not but be sought from the Chinese own culture. From the high and low levels of Chinese culture, the high-level view is the thought in the writings of philosophers and theoreticians.
