杨振宁博士在对中美学生的调查比较中,很中肯地指出,中国孩子动手能力差,美国孩子恰恰相反。虽然中国学生的基础知识比较扎实,但创造性不够,受束缚太多。所以,教师应更加满足孩子的动手动脑的需要,在动手动脑探索活动中,发挥他们的主动性和创造性。苏联教育家苏霍姆林斯基有句名言:“儿童的智慧在他的手指尖上。”生理科学的研究也证明:人脑中与手指相联系的神经所占面积较大,经常刺激这部分神经细胞,大脑就会日益发达。经常让孩子依靠双手去活动,会使孩子大脑的相应区域得到激活和锻炼,从而促进孩子的智力发展及动手能力。玩线活动就是其中很有效的一种途径,因此,提出让大班幼儿通过动手操作将线变成千万种不同造型,从而提高动手能力的研究。
