I. INTRODUCTION In the current extensive updating of the SI system, four basic units will be redefined. The redefinition of the kilograms is particularly crucial. This article compares the pros and cons of two possible solutions: “electronic kilograms” based on constant Planck’s constant values and “atomic kilograms” based on fixed Avogadro’s constant values. Kg is the unit of mass, which is equal to the mass of a kilogram of international prototype. This definition is based on the definition of the only platinum iridium cylinder adopted at the first International Conference on Metrology in 1889. although
