本文主要介绍了作者研究组近几年来将非线性最优化方法应用于大气-海洋科学研究中的有关工作,重点是基于非线性最优化所提出的条件非线性最优扰动(CNOP)方法的理论框架及近几年的发展,以及在大气-海洋科学研究中的最新应用成果,主要包括集合预报、一些高影响海-气环境事件的可预报性、模式参数敏感性的识别以及模式倾向误差和边界条件误差的评估等.此外,本文也讨论了应用CNOP方法面临的困难与挑战,并展望了未来的发展.
This paper mainly introduces the research work of the author group in recent years to apply the nonlinear optimization method to atmospheric-ocean science research, focusing on the theory of conditional non-linear optimal perturbation (CNOP) proposed by nonlinear optimization The recent developments in the framework and recent years, as well as the latest applications in atmospheric-ocean science research, mainly include ensemble prediction, predictability of some high-impact sea-air environmental events, identification of model parameter sensitivity, and model propensity errors Evaluation of boundary condition error, etc. In addition, this paper also discusses the difficulties and challenges in applying CNOP method and looks forward to the future development.
