Objective: To study the colonization of subgingival flora in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and chronic periodontitis and to explore the role of periodontal suspicious pathogens in the relationship between chronic periodontitis and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: Ninety patients with severe periodontitis and 30 periodontal healthy type 2 diabetic patients were collected for subgingival plaque collection. The periodontal suspected pathogens Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg) Aggregatibacer actinomycete mcomitans (Aa), Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn), Prevotella intermedia (Pi), Tannerella forsythia (Tf), Treponema denticola Treponema denticola, Td) as the target bacteria, using 16SrRNA-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology to detect subgingival flora, and PCR products were measured electrophoresis band gray value to calculate the various bacteria in the bacteria The proportion of spots. The levels of fasting glucose (FBG) and glucose tolerance test 2h blood glucose (OGTT2hBG), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol HDL-C) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels and bacterial species and bacterial plaque in the proportion of the relationship. Results: The TC level in Tf positive patients was significantly higher than that in negative patients. The proportion of Tf in plaque was positively correlated with fasting blood glucose level (P = 0.002). The proportion of Pg in plaque was significantly and positively correlated with TC (P = 0.035; The proportion of Pi in plaque was significantly and negatively correlated with fasting blood glucose and total cholesterol (TC), with P values of 0.003 and 0.041, respectively. Conclusion: Type 2 diabetes has certain effects on the colonization of some periodontal suspicious pathogens.
