前体验活动是指为增加对课堂知识学习的理解性,在课前组织的以具体体验为主要方式、以充实学生对数学内容的感性认识为主要目标的教学活动。四年级学生在学习“用字母表示数”这一知识点时,需要有“用文字表示数”的相关知识的支撑。因此,《用字母表示数》的课堂教学需要前体验活动——用文字表示数的铺垫。此次前体验活动包括五个部分:一是为什么,即活动缘起;二是是什么,即“用文字表示数”活动设计;三是怎么做,即活动实施;四是怎么样,即活动效果;五是该怎样,即活动反思。
