动臂塔式起重机的起重臂在空钩时,幅度小于某一定值时,由于变幅滑轮组、变幅滑轮组支架、伸缩滑轮组、变幅钢绳、起重钢绳等自重引起臂架的幅角自动增大,即臂架的后倾力矩能使起重臂架自动后翻,从而造成臂架损坏以至塔机倾翻。因此,必须找出塔机臂架自重引起的前倾力矩和变幅、伸缩滑轮组及钢绳自重引起的后倾力矩平衡时的最大幅角,然后将变幅限位器限在此角度内或采取其它措施保证安全。
