好文章是写出来的,也是改出来的。写的能力也可以说成为改的能力。写的能力要靠写来培养,也要靠改来扶掖;改的能力固然离不开写的根基,而改的能力则主要靠改的实践来造就。教师评改作文固然有帮助学生写好一篇篇文章的作用,可是归根结底是在教学生学会修改文章。如果说写前的种种指导重在“应当怎样写”,而评改就重在“不应当怎样写”;指导重在“怎样写好”,评改就重在“怎样改好”。修改文章是艰难的,培养修改能力自然也不容易。写作能力的诸因素,也都是修改能力的因素。写和改的心理与操作方式不同,二者都统一在写作规律规范上。学生写得好的地方,他们自己一般不会不明白,而他们发现自己的毛病却不容易。教师评改作文为的是长善救失,而救失是主要的,耐心、细致、不辞劳苦地全面修改,那么学生修改文章的良好心理、习惯就不难养成,修改操作也就不难学会了。
