In recent years, fluorine compounds have gained increasing popularity due to the bulk properties of fluorine compounds in liquid rubbers and plastics. In addition, the effective use of fluorine compound films or films now provides water and oil repellency to textile leather and paper. For example, fluoride surface treatment films are also used as corrosion inhibitors, lubricants, and evaporation inhibitors. The unique nature of these films is due to the partial orientation of the fluorocarbon molecules on the substrate against the environment. This surface is composed of -CF-2- and -CF_3 groups, chemically inert and oil-repellent. This film serves as a barrier to protect the substrate. Glass has now been added to sheets of material that can be applied with a durable fluorochemical thin film coating. This document describes the nature and limitations of these treatments as well as examples of possible applications.
