According to the Japanese “Chemical” November 1985 issue and “Modern Chemistry” December 1985 report, the eighth International Education Conference (8-ICCE) was held in Tokyo, Japan from August 23rd to 28th, 1985. . According to statistics, more than 600 representatives from 54 countries participated in this grand event organized by the Japan Chemical Society and the International Federation of Pure and Applied Chemistry. From university professors to secondary school teachers, from chemical university students to medical students, liberal arts students, high school students, employees, and ordinary citizens, representatives from all walks of life are rare for other types of chemical research international conferences. It shows that today’s chemistry education is closely related to all social strata. The theme of the conference is to broaden the vision of chemistry.
