China is the source of Japanese culture, calligraphy is no exception. However, it is undeniable that the art of calligraphy in Japan has surpassed the country of calligraphy - China, from the perspective of popularity, scale and mounting quality. Among the fifty-six Japanese, there is a calligraphy practitioner who does not have a precise number of calligraphic writers about Japanese calligraphy. Generally speaking, there are twenty or thirty million Chinese calligraphers, that is, one or five Japanese calligraphists . There are about 1 million people in Japan who can afford calligraphers and who can organize solo shows and works of art. The great popularity of calligraphy, and the Japanese emphasis on calligraphy education are closely related. Japanese primary and secondary schools have opened a calligraphy class.
