Objective Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in the promoter of pri-miR-34b/c were are indicated to be susceptible to kinds of cancer except gastric cancer which had not been studied.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the association between the mir-34b/c (rs4938723) and gastric cancer susceptibility.Methods We genotyped rs4938723 using the TaqMan method to explore the relationship between this polymorphism and the risk of gastric cancer (GC) in a case-control study of 227 GC patients and 404 control subjects.
