Objective Drug-induced liver injury is a serious and frequent drug adverse event in clinical development.Corticosteroids use is a choice of treatment for severe hepatitis, which is considered impossibly to cause acute hepatitis.The aim of this study was to report a rare observation of acute hepatitis induced by methylprednisolone.Method A 77-year-old man was admitted to our clinic with weakness, abdominal distension and advanced jaundice after taking lower-dose methylprednisolone for idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP).
